Scotland House 8725 is a fine Scottish house situated within the new Cairngorm National Park, with an abundance of wildlife including red squirrels, huge herds of deer and ospreys.

Surrounded by tranquil and beautiful countryside yet only 40 minutes from the A9 road giving access to Edinburgh, Perth and Glasgow. Offering the opportunity to relax in elegant and comfortable surroundings.

The lands of Glenisla were chartered to the monks of the Cistercian Abbey of Coupar Angus on July 9th 1234 and there has been a dwelling on the site here since the 14th century.

The accommodation consists of a Drawing room, which is a large room with deep comfortable sofas.

The Dining Room is traditional with a mahogany dining table that seats 14 people, and the Library is decorated in one of the family's tartans.

The huge kitchen/breakfast room is fully fitted and splendidly equipped, as is the large utility room.

All the bedrooms are to a high standard and most enjoy wonderful views across to the surrounding hills.

There is an acre of well kept formal garden with revolving summer house, lawns and hard tennis court (play by arrangement). From the garden one may walk the short distance through the woodland garden to fish for wild brown trout on 3 miles of the River Isla or on the three hill lochs on the estate. Wooden clinker built boats, ghillie, and instruction by arrangement. Truly ideal for anyone seeking the real comforts of a country house amidst splendid Highland scenery.

Accommodation - Sleeps 12 - 3 Double Bedrooms, 4 Twin Bedroom, 1 Single Bedroom 6 Bathrooms (5 ensuite)

On the Ground floor - Entrance hallway; drawing room, with open fire; library, with open fire, and TV/DVD player; dining room, with table that seats 12 adults comfortably with a maximum up to 14 adults; kitchen; large utility room; boot room; w.c; stairs to floor above; back door, with access to games room, with table tennis table and table football table; separate access to enclosed area with hot tub (charged as extra).

On the First floor - Stairs; king size double room en-suite bathroom, with bath, separate shower cabinet, w,c and wash hand basin; king size double room with en-suite bathroom, with bath, w.c and wash hand basin; twin room with en-suite bathroom, with bath with shower over, w.c and was hand basin; twin room, with bathroom next door, used as en-suite; double room; single room; bathroom; stairs to floor above.

Features, Facilities and Services:

Linen; towels; electricity; and an initial supply of logs are included within the rental. There is also use of telephone and fax machine if required. Central Heating.

Maintained to a very high standard and all rentals includes the services of a resident housekeeper for a few hours each day. A housekeeper works on behalf of the house two hours a day, 6 days in a weekly rental.

To make your stay even more enjoyable, by arrangement as extra, it is possible to engage the services of the housekeeper as a cook. This service has proved very popular with past guests and is highly recommended.
