Greece Estate 9453 is a delightful cluster of three villas with a separate staff and reception cottage on the Samos seashore, each offering a different view of the sea and mountainside.
A large group of friends or families can happily holiday here in comfort and privacy.
There are two three-bedroom villas (each sleeping six) and one villa with four bedrooms (sleeps eight).
The villas are light and sunny, and decorated in minimalist but contemporary Greek style with plenty of tender loving care.
Little touches include stencils on the walls, brightly coloured bedrooms, tasteful items of furniture and thoughtful vases of flowers.
On the doorstep are little coves where you can sunbathe on the rocks in peace, crystal clear waters for swimming and two striking mountain ranges with plenty of good walks.
The Villa is a ten minute drive (five kilometres) from the village of Karlovasi where you’ll find the nearest shops and a bustling harbour.
The villas are modern with terracotta roofs, high wooden ceilings and terracotta flooring throughout. Villa 1 has three double bedroom suites; villa 2 has three double bedroom suites and villa 3 has four double bedrooms (two en-suite, two sharing a bathroom).
The bedrooms are spacious with very generous beds, brightly coloured cotton rugs, wooden furniture (some white wood, some antique), and modern artwork on the walls. The beds have handmade quilts and the rooms are themed in lemon yellows and pale blues. The windows can be flung open onto views of either the sea or the surrounding mountains.
All bath and shower rooms are finished in Greek marble.
The living rooms have big sofas, tables and chairs, writing desks and modern wood-burning open fireplaces. Sliding doors lead out on to terraces. All overlook sandy beaches and sea through the lavender gardens.
Each house has a landscaped patio garden with a sitting area among the exotic plants and flowers.
The kitchens are open plan and traditional Mediterranean in style.
Guests can dine out on terraces lit by lanterns and enjoy the most beautiful sunsets and views over the nearby conservation area and mountain slopes as they drop steeply into the Aegean waters. When the skies are clear (which they are throughout most of the summer), the star formations are tremendous. All terraces can accommodate up to 20 for dining. For larger groups there is also an open air pillared area that can comfortably seat 200 for special occasions.
The estate is essentially an olive grove which the owners use to produce their own organic olive oil. They also produce different types of wine from their organic vineyard.
Guests at the Estate are able to enjoy lots of the owners’ farm products, which include all sorts of herbs, mountain tea, camomile, thyme and mushrooms, along with organically grown summer fruits and vegetables. Every morning they will find on their terrace table a basket of fruit and vegetables, plus fresh bread, butter, jam, local honey and freshly-squeezed fruit juice.
These houses are ideal for three families. On days when you prefer not to go to the beach, you can pass the time in the deckchairs by the communal pool (and baby pool), or lounge over a long drink by the pool bar. For the afternoon siesta, hammocks are available in the wooded shade.
Snorkelling equipment is provided. Boating trips can also be arranged to the nearby private coves and beaches.
All villas have open fires for chillier off-season evenings.
This Estate could be the perfect setting for a wedding weekend, a big party or even a lantern-lit dinner for a large group of friends. Alternatively, it could be hired as a more informal conference venue, although it does not have traditional conference equipment.
Reservation includes a diverse number of services for guests. Daily Maid Service, Full English and Continental Breakfast, in house catering services, babysitting, massage, parties and celebrations, boat trips with the Estate Speed boat to different destinations on the island (with light lunch preparation), car rental, and much more.
