This cottage is a stylish, cosy 16th century cottage in a conservation village.
National Trust salt marshes run from Stiffkey down to the sea. The village has an excellent pub, a friendly stores, and a famous antique lamp shop. Once it had a vicar who was eaten by a circus lion! Henry Williamson, author of Tarka the Otter, also lived and wrote here in a cottage across the road. Holkham’s vast sandy beaches are about 10 minutes’ drive away. Walks, seal trips, sailing, bird reserves and train rides are close by, and inland the towns of Holt and Burnham Market. Accommodation: Porch, kitchen with dining table, sitting room, 2 double bedrooms, bathroom with shower attachment over bath, small single bedroom (suitable for occasional use or for a child).
